Oh mannnnn my flight to France is tomorrow at 1:20pm!!! I'm so excited, of course I'm at a loss as to what I should pack.. I'm almost done but ugh. I'm sure I'll forget something or wake up in the middle of the night and be all WAH! I FORGOT XYZ!" Plus of course I'll have trouble fitting into my suitcase even though it's almost twice as big as the one I had last year. Christ it's gonna be such a burden. :I I take way too much clothes, my inner Hygiene-Nazi dictates I should only wear each shirt/pair of undies/pair of socks once before washing, so yeah. But 1/3 of my suitcase is presents. Though taking those out won't help since I'll be coming back with a million bottles of alcohol anyway.
My laptop came back today, just in time for my absence! Oh well, turns out the disk was busted... so. Yeah. *rolls eyes* And I can't open www.mozilla.com so that's a bit worrisome and pisses me off. I couldn't even download Firefox, I had to use some old installer.
Yesterday was my last day of work! It was blissssss. My friends from work threw a little goodbye party for me today. I got some cute presents, 2 books and some adorable jewellery! My inner creativity started telling me it would be a surprise party with cake and balloons and stuff. I-I kind of get carried away. lol

Anyway guys have an awesome July, I'm off for 3 weeks tomorrow! I plan to have a blast impending period notwithstanding *packs 20 million tampons* TMI! I have this super painful zit under my lip, you can't see it yet but it HURTS. Oh man. I'm starting to stress a bit, I hate waiting at the Etiuda cheap-flights terminal in Warsaw, it's the fucking shittiest little shack-for-a-terminal EVER. I swear it looks like the type of building you'd find abandoned butcher shops in. Ugh. I must take a photo, it's emabarassingly small for an international terminal. Though who am I kidding, I get what I pay for.

Oh snap the Russia vs Netherlands game was SO brutal!!! In the sense that I don't think anybody saw that coming, but it was hilariously awesome. I pretty much cheered no matter who scored a goal possibly because I was a bit drunk
Oh but the party last night was awesome. We watched the Muse concert at Wembley in 2007, man they make some pretty awesome music, I didn't know and was quite impressed again possibly because I was slightly drunk There were some pretty funny situations though, like when two of my friends quarelled AND ACTUALLY TOOK IT OUTSIDE hahahahahahahaa fucking WIN. But they made up quickly and came back and my other friend, who had been keeping an eye on them through the window was sad that they didn't fight in mud or jello.
Guys guys! OMG just one more week till I finish work! So awesome. I still need to buy some sandals and extra stuff to take with me just in case, like pain killers and such. Awh man. I hate preparations for trips. My boss told me about one of his Japanese business partners who takes a suitcase with him with clothes and stuff on his trips, and when the trip is overhe just dumps everything in the garbage, including the suitcase and goes back home without anything.
And there are children in Ethiopia dying of hunger. :( Rich bastards.
I've been checking up on my laptop status all weekend, fooling myself that something might have changed even though I know they're closed. lol
Ugh, so tired, think I'll just stare listlessly at the computer screen. |

Ugh, still laptopless, website status says it's "awaiting parts" and the pickup date has been pushed up to July 4th. Bah, so no steady net access for me till after July 21st. *sigh* Oh well, I'm going to a party tonight with my colleagues and I'm gonna get drunk! Screw the world!
Also Dan I like how you told me the computer clock battery would be up front near the power button. It was at the back on the motherboard. lol
I bought a new red suitcase (for 40z, so it'll probably fall apart at the airport) and a bunch of candy and stuff as presents to take to France, yay! :D I still have to buy some cow candy... Hm. Anyway I'm so tired recently, I don't even feel like posting anything. Bah. |

I don't feel like doing anything... at all, including typing up this LJ post. I guess I should just get it out of the way.
Anyway, to cut a long story short (what do you mean I haven't even started yet?), I decided to format my laptop cuz it was getting laggy. Normal OS ask you what you want to format and how, right? Anyway Vista just went and wiped everything without so much as a look my way, so I ended up with a "factory settings" laptop and no backups of all my stuff. I was rather bummed but after buying a shiny new 250Gb external harddrive (a present from my parents for finishing uni) and firing up GetDataBack I managed to recover all my lost files. Yay! EXCEPT WAIT. I can't open any of them. Oh FUCK. So yeah, I spent all of Saturday crying over my loss, but 30 minutes before going out to a birthday party I tried one of the other "less recommended" methods of GetDataBack AND IT WAS ALL THERE! ACCESSIBLE!
Except for one. What were the chanced that the ONLY 100% corrupt, irretrievable by 2 different programs folder is... my FANART folder. Right. All lost. Only a small percentage of the contents of this folders is online, so I was really put out. I started downloading my pics off my host, then sat down at the other computer and rummaged around a bit for something else and... lo-and-behold, my fanart folder, which I had forgotten to delete off the other computer after i got my laptop.
I currently own a full set of the same working files and folders that were on my laptop before Vista deleted them. Imagine my euphoria. :D Anyway 3 entire days out of my life, but it's all getting back to normal now! :DD

The birthday party I went to on Saturday evening was also loads of fun!!! It was 50s and 60s themed, so I dressed up Grease style: a black skirt, a wide black belt, a short-sleeved button up shirt with a big collar and a bow on my ponytail. I must say my costume was the best and everyone complimented me about it :D I had loads of fun, drank some beer, danced and the cake was OH MY GOD so delicious!!! Loads of photos but I'm too lazy to upload. OTL

I was supposed to finish work tomorrow... buuuut... my boss asked me to stay till the end of the month :( You will think me crazy, but I thought it over during the weekend and then went to see him on Tuesday and I said:
Kaja: I can stay till the end of the month... ON ONE CONDITION.
Boss: Oh? *smiles*
Kaja: Due to thr fact that I was under the impression I'd be staying here to the end of this week and that I've made plans, I would like to leave work between 12 and 1pm. This would in no way negatively influence my work, since I'm always done by that time anyway.
Boss: And you'd leave at that time every day?
Kaja: Yes.
Boss: OK.
So lol I have a regular paid job (I HOPE! We didn't talk about pay but I think it's OBVIOUS I should be paid regular hours for my sacrifice, I mean, I hate my job so very much, I'm not sure how I'm signing a contract for the nxt two weeks, I will have to see) and I can leave at noon, so YAY. At least one good thing.

Anyway, Poland is playing Austria today to get into the semi-finals(or quarter????), so uh... I wonder how it'll go. I'll be watching their silly antics and cringing at how bad them Polacks are. At least Kubica won Formula 1 in Canada, go you huge-nosed racer!!! :D |

I just lost upwards of 10 years worth of photos and my own art. Because Vista is a piece of shit and formatting didn't even let me choose which partition to clean, it just wiped the whole laptop.
I tried to recover the files, my computer sees them but can't open them.
